FAQs

How much is tuition?
Our goal is to keep The Cove affordable and that cost not be a barrier for families. Our tuition is solely based on covering facility/insurance/supply costs, and paying tutors for their time planning curriculum. We will have finalized tuition costs once we know how many students will be enrolled in the fall.
When is tuition due?
Tuition will be paid the first class of every month, but cash or check.
Do parent tutors get paid?
Yes, our goal is to pay parent tutors enough to cover the expense of two students’ tuition. In other words, a parent of two enrolled students who is hired to tutor, will have their children attend for free.
What are the hours?
As this program is (currently) being tailored for the years Kindergarten—3rd grade, we adhere to Charlotte Mason’s concept of short, stimulating lessons. Our community days will run from 9:30-12:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and will include 3 classes per day. Classes are typically 20-30 minutes long. Students are allowed movement breaks as needed and have 2-3 recesses throughout the day.
Where is it located?
We have a couple locations in mind, but won’t have a finalized location until summer. We also would like the location to be as central as possible for interested families, so knowing where those families are coming from will help us narrow it down! We want a location within a 30 minute radius of Kent Island, Easton, Centreville, & Denton areas.
What subjects do you cover?

*The subjects you must keep up with on home days are math, phonics & grammar, spelling, and reading. Also, students will need to prepare for one class presentation per week.
Does The Cove perform homeschool reviews?
Not at this time. You must enroll as a homeschooled student and do your reviews with the county or an umbrella.
